As an APA rank of 2 I kick ass

I took on an APA rank 3 with my rank 2. I was heavily distracted wanting to carry on a conversation over my cell phone with a very good friend (that’s a story I should share too).

Game 1
I was too distracted by the text conversation and was soon down in the game, with 6 balls left on the table to my competition’s 3 remaining. So I did something that I thought I had to do, I gave my Blackberry over to a friend to hold while I finished the game.

There was not the same distraction at that point, it was a different distraction. I wanted to finish the game and get back to PINning (PIN messages on the Blackberry are like text messages only they are fictitiously suppose to be quicker). In only two more innings I cleared off the 6 remaining balls and was onto the 8 ball.

My competitor had cleared all but one last ball off the table, but was unable to sink his last ball before getting to the 8, which was my cue (ha ha!). I had a semi-easy cross table shot which I hit into the right corner pocket.

Game 1 winner, me.

Game 2
The game started with me breaking pretty strongly, the problem was that nothing went in. And for those of you that understand, I didn’t even get the 8 ball to move. My oponent came to an open table, and left it that way. Fourteen elegible pool balls on the table to sink, and he doesn’t make one shot.

I sank a solid and within a dozen innings, we were still screwing around on the table. Yes, 12 innings and we weren’t finishing. Then the higher ranking players on each team gave us a hard time, asking what movies have made more sequels than we have innings.

About two innings later I sank a decent 8 ball shot which needed to go across the 9 foot table, which is about 40 feet when you are moving the 8 ball down the table.

So I was a rank of 2, lets see what happens now.

Last week I lost as a 3, to another 3. I should have won, but was so loaded that it took me 20 minutes to finish the 2nd Jack & Coke before I went on to drink like a pitcher of Bud Light.

The week before the ranked 6 player lost to me twice.. ha ha.

I’ll probably be a rank 3 after winning two straight matches against a 3. I’ll let you know.
